Social Studies

Equipping historians with the tools to understand evidence, identify bias, and advocate for justice.

Our Vision

Understanding where we come from is key to knowing where we are going. Social Studies at F&T is about training researchers to evaluate evidence, recognize perspective, and take positions on matters of historical importance. Our historians identify injustice and use their knowledge of power structures to advocate for equity today.

Students complete commencement-level PBATs in Grade 11 to demonstrate mastery of historical research.
