Staff Opportunities

The Laboratory School of Finance and Technology (07X223), a public district school located in the South Bronx is always looking for dedicated, intelligent, innovative staff members to add to our community of educators!

The Laboratory School of Finance and Technology has been a high performing middle school in the South Bronx for the last twenty years.  We are a model school for both math and literacy instruction in the region.  After ten years as one of the highest achieving and most popular middle schools in District 7, we expanded from a middle school to a secondary school in September 2013.  In June of 2017, we had our first graduating class, with a 92% graduation rate, compared to 60% in our district and 66% borough wide, and we have maintained over a 93% average graduation rate, including a 96% graduation rate this year with the Class of 2025.

We are also part of the New York Performance Standards Consortium (http://performanceassessment.org/), through which students receive the opportunity to complete independent performance based research projects and present their findings in lieu of Regents exams to meet the graduation requirements.

The strengths of our school include:

  • 2023 Federal Magnet Grant Award Winner in Career Connected Learning

  • access to numerous professional development opportunities (including coaches in all content areas)

  • access to classroom resources, technology and tools that will aid and enhance your teaching

  • the freedom to be an instructional leader and innovator in the classroom

  • a community of energetic and devoted colleagues

  • award-winning middle school Spanish dual language immersion program
